Insomnia:
If you have trouble falling asleep or staying asleep, even when you have the chance to sleep, you might have insomnia. Insomnia is a treatable disease, and our staff works to personalise care with our patients, providing a variety options ranging from sleep strategies to specific sleep therapies.
Restless Leg Syndrome:
Do you often have uncomfortable or painful sensations in your legs and an irresistible urge to move them? If so, you might have restless leg syndrome, a disease that makes it difficult to sleep. Sleep Apnea:
If you have trouble breathing or experience snoring, you might have sleep apnea. Sleep apnea is a serious condition as breathing problems can have a serious impact on the body and mind both short and long term.
How to Prepare for your Appointment
- Bring all your past medical records, including any test reports. If you have undergone any procedure such as Xray, CT MRI please bring report and if possible images on disc form.
- No acrylic fingernails or polish on your fingernails
- Shower and shave the day of your study.
- Your hair will need to be free of excessive sprays, gels and creams.
- Do not use lotions or creams on your body or face.
- Do not forget your reading glasses to be able to complete paperwork.
- Try to get a good night’s sleep the night before.
- No naps the day of your sleep study.
- Do not consume any caffeine after 12:00 noon the day of your study.
- Please make sure your skin and hair are clean when you arrive.
- Please do not use any heavy or thick lotions or hair products before your sleep study appointment.
